Chloe (2009). A remake from the French erotic thriller, Nathalie… With Amanda Seyfried as its Emmanuelle Béart, I must say Chloe would be less appealing had it been played by anyone else. Seyfried has a flair in being the contemporary Lolita by looking innocent, sweet, yet very seductive.
Alas, the Lolita. The prevalent test to married men. We are the light of your life, fire of your loins. Your sin, your soul. For our skin and lips never run dry. The juvenile recklessness of us all and our emasculating beauty — Don’t you just hate loving us?
Apologies for the short digression. I guess I suddenly missed abusing the public privacy of my own blog. Though I have yet to watch the original, the remake can very much live up to its claimed genre. My intent to watch it was because I thought it would be different, but it’s something even better.
